Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the FoilVault app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Do not harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create (your collection data, decks, comments, and so on). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service. Content you choose to publish or make public may be viewed and copied by others.
Objectionable content and abuse
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on the Service. This includes harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, threats or depictions of violence, spam, and scams.
Every piece of user-generated content — comments, posts, profiles, and trade messages — can be reported from within the app using the flag control on the content itself or on the author’s profile. You can also block another user from that same menu, which hides their content from you and yours from them; blocks can be reviewed and lifted under Settings → Blocked accounts.
We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and we may suspend or terminate the accounts responsible. Reports can also be sent to support@foilvault.cards.
Trading
The Service helps you discover and arrange trades with other people, but FoilVault is not a party to any trade and does not verify cards, conditions, value, or the identity or conduct of other users. Trades happen at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your in-person dealings and for complying with applicable laws. Card prices shown are estimates from third-party sources, may be inaccurate or out of date, and are not financial advice.
Third-party services
The Service relies on and links to third parties (for example Google, Apple, Scryfall, and TCGplayer). We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
Some links to card marketplaces (such as TCGplayer, Mana Pool, and Card Kingdom) are affiliate links. If you buy through them, FoilVault may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the prices we show or which sellers we list.
Magic: The Gathering card data and images are provided by Scryfall. It is not affiliated with FoilVault, and does not endorse it.
Intellectual property
Magic: The Gathering and related names and images are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. FoilVault is an unofficial fan-made tool and is not produced, endorsed, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast. All card images and game content remain the property of their respective owners.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data (including prices) will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoilVault will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goods (including losses arising from trades), resulting from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
